Dashing out the door ahead of you … Jumping up on you, the kids and everyone else in the family … Loves to run and fetch the ball, but absolutely WON’T come when you call him (or her) these are all things that can easily be corrected with the proper training and more!

 

Most people don’t even realize that here at Dogwood Critter Country we do offer many different types of training, but we mainly specialize in both OBEDIENCE training, as well as puppy training. Steven Levy, the Owner/Operator of Dogwood Critter Country has over 15 years’ experience not only in training dogs, but also in showing them as well. His assistant, David Butler has over five years’ experience apprenticing under Steven, so between the two of them they have a combined, 20 years’ experience training dogs together.

 

The most common training we do here at Dogwood is basic obedience, which is all done on lead with the exception of the “come” command. All of our training is done using “voice inflections” and we absolutely DO NOT use treats, clickers, whistles or other gimmicks! Your dog should WANT to obey, and should WANT to please you, and that’s the way we train them to respond and behave

Boarding - Training - And More !!!

 

Boarding - Training - And More ! Although boarding of Dogs and cats is our primary business, we also board other animals and pets as well. Many of our customers have such pets as Guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, birds, and the list goes on and on. The pricing for boarding pets other than dogs and cats is established differently in each case, and you must call or stop by to discuss those rates.

 

Besides pet boarding, dog training is another large part of our business. We specialize in basic obedience training, offering several different training options. We also offer puppy training, as well as other types of training and we suggest you call or stop by to discuss those other options as well.

 

Although at this time we do not offer actual grooming services, we do offer bathing, nail trimming, and some additional services related to grooming. Once again please stop by or call for pricing.
